Abstract

This small manuscript is a late fifteenth-century prayer book in Dutch, which includes a Dutch calendar, the Hours of the Cross, prayers for the Mass, the Seven Psalms of the Virgin, the Penitential Psalms, and prayers to the Virgin including rosary prayers. Five major text divisions are marked by a recto text page with a floral border and a four- or five-line initial; three of these have a verso full-page miniature on the facing page. Two or three miniatures are probably missing, as leaves are missing before folios 93 and 103.
