Abstract

This flattened parchment roll is a record of work done and wages paid in the Norfolk community of Ashwellthorpe, referred to in the manuscript as Thorp, in the second regnal year of Richard II (starting June 1378) through the Sunday after the feast of Saint Michael (September 29).
