The item is undated and the scribe is not named; possibly produced in Iran in the last 14th or early 15th centuries.
Bound in reddish leather over pasteboard with flap (Type II), gilt-stamped center medallion with two pendants on the vertical axis and cornerpieces; leather doublure with central quatrefoil medallion and two pendants on the vertical axis and cornerpieces all in blue and green with black filigree overlay and gold tooling. The filigree is damaged or missing on most of the ornaments.
