This manuscript is a compilation of remedies for various ills chiefly using wine, recipes for pills, for purifying metals, recipes and instructions for making colors for painting, enameling. The first half of the manuscript (fols. 1-32) is 15th century on parchment. Additional remedies in a 16th century hand, for inflamed testicles, menstrual distress, toothache, headache, leprosy, and recipes for birth control and various hair dyes. Folios 1-46 are parchment (1st gathering water-damaged); folios 47-61 are paper. Some marginalia, including multiple signatures of Dom[ina] Maria Barbani di Corticelle, one dated Oct. 1506.
