Dictionary entries are organized alphabetically. Alphabetized finding tabs with red lettering located at the beginning of each letter category in the dictionary (one broken off). An introductory paragraph in Latin in the dictionary (f. 11r) refers to and criticizes the earlier work of Uguccione da Pisa and the Vocabularius breviloquus of Johann Reuchlin.

Written in a German cursive, with the decorative heading on f. 11r in a Gothic book hand; unidentified text on the pastedowns in Gothic book hand and secretary scripts.
2-line and 3-line red initials throughout; 3-line to 7-line initials to introduce each new letter category, sometimes with geometric or floral patterns, in red (except, Q on f. 169r, in black); decorated initial E in red, yellow, and green, with ears of wheat, flowers, and leaves (f. 11r); manicules with decorated sleeves (f. 25v, 28v, 29r, 35v).
