Decree of Charles VIII, King of France, dated December 4, 1494 (following the French invasion of Siena), granting protection to Jacobus de Picolominibus of Siena and his family. Initialed by Guillaume Bric̀§onnet, secretary of the treasury for Charles VIII. A strip, probably containing a signature, has been cut from the lower right edge of the document.
